How to unroot your Android Device

Rooting your phone and unlocking its original chances are one of the best parts of the Android environment, a lot of things that sets up for Windows 10 Mobile and iOS. Of course, this is not for everyone. One, the process is a bit complicated. You do not need to mention the fact that you can be harmful to your device and be tinkering the handset overrides the warranty and ends up in an unfortunate situation.
How to unroot your Android phone
Would you like to be part of the root club now? At Google's protective arms is certainly good, and the route is available to keep your software updated through the air. In addition, when buying a phone, many buyers need the experience "from the box", which technologically blocks it as if the phone is brand new.

No matter where there is a lot of tutorials out there where a smartphone is rooting, but how much unroot you will show up. We can fix that!

Unroot by using SuperSU

Many users utilize the SuperSU, a tool to manage rich devices. Ability to unroot your device into many of its features.

The process they accept is very simple. Open the SuperSU app and go to Settings tab. Scroll down and select "Full Unroot". Follow the instructions and let the phone do its job. When you take care of the business, restart your phone and you're normal.

Unroot by using an app

Do not use SuperSU? You still have a small chance of unloading your phone by utilizing a simple application. These apps do not seem to work well on every smartphone there. This is a hit or a miss.

The most popular option is Universal Unroot, it will easily remove root benefits from Android devices. Sadly, there are many downsides. For starters, a bunch of Samsung devices will not work because of the combination of a single belch. LG does not unroot the devices, but they still stand out as rooted, thanks to LG's eFuse.

I will say that this is a bit of a game, it costs $ 0.99, but it might be worth it if you do not really like to play with your phone

Unroot by using a file manager

Root access may be a complicated setup, but your phone has only one set of files. They will be avoided and the route will go away.

For this root access requires a file manager. My favorite one will be the ES File Explorer (Turn on root access in settings).

  • Access the main drive of your device and look for "system". Select it, then tap "bin". From there, remove "busy box" and "su". By the way, these may not be. If so, move to the next step.
  • Go back to the system folder and select "xbin". If you have any files, go ahead and delete "busy box" and "su".
  • Go back to the system folder and select “app”.
  • Delete “superuser,apk”
  • Restart the device and it will all be done.

Unroot by installing an OTA update!

Did we remind you that you will get the route updated? Well, only if you want to update the traditional method, you can still push the updates automatically. We are not going to crawl those details right now, but the software updates will root out root access. Most users will have to go back again, but it's easy to install your next update if you do not need a root access.

The obvious collapse is that you have to wait for an appearance. Do not forget to uninstall Oh, SuperSu and other root-related applications. Remember that it only works when you use stock recovery on your device.

Unroot by installing stock firmware

The usual way to unroot a phone is to take back the original firmware back to the phone. There are no ifs or butshere, it will work regardless of your device, ROM, kernel or recovery. This is why all software is packaged together with firmware.

The only sad part is that you can not provide a tutorial. Phones are different ways to install a firmware, so you have to do a specific bit of research on your particular smartphone. Users need to download their specific firmware files, use USB debugging and download some PC software.

There you have it there. Now there are tools to keep your phone away from the potentially rooted threatening world. Smartphone hacker is not for everyone!

Did any of you try these methods? Hit comments to let us know your experiences. I personally used the last option. I think the bright start is always good, but I think it makes me more researchers. Share the other tips you can think of in the comments below.

What does ‘Rooting an Android device’ actually mean?
So, in a nutshell, rooting an Android phone or tablet means giving yourself ‘root’, or admin rights. This means that you are able to edit system files which, normally, wouldn’t be accessible to normal users. What does that mean? Well, it means that you or other apps that only work on rooted devices, can access and change things like your camera flash, notification light and many other things.

You’re basically tearing down the restriction walls of your firmware. It’s similar to jailbreaking an Apple device or changing from a normal user to an administrator on a Windows machine.

For a more detailed explanation, also about all the rooting terms, check out our extensive rooting guide.

Does rooting void the warranty?
Let me get that immediately out of the way: Yes, rooting an Android device voids the warranty. That’s a fact. Same thing with jailbreaking an Apple device. But, thankfully, it’s not difficult to “un-root” a device and to flash a stock ROM or a manufacturer supplied ROM onto the phone. After doing that, your device won’t show any sign that it used to be rooted, thus making you eligible for any warranty claims.

Benefits of rooting an Android phone or tablet
Having admin rights opens up many new possibilities to customize your device and improve your Android experience. The following list covers the main advantages of having a rooted device.

Make complete backups of your device
nandroid2

Let’s start off with one of the major benefits of having a rooted device: Better backups. With a rooted device, chances are high that you might want to tweak your system, install a custom ROM or install apps that need root access. Since you’re playing around with your system files, it’s always good to have backups of your apps, user data or your whole system. And, besides, it never hurts to keep backups, in case you delete important files by accident.

The most popular app to make backups is Titanium Backup. Although the Pro version costs $6.58, it’s well worth the money. It allows you to make complete backups of all your apps and system data. Restoring them after, for example, a factory reset brings back all your apps and system settings so that you don’t have to bother with installing all of your apps and setting up your device again.

Another great benefit is being able to make a backup of your whole system, called ‘Nandroid’ backup.

Restoring a Nandroid backup is like restoring your Windows computer to exact state of the last performed system backup. So, if you Android device isn’t working properly anymore or if it’s soft-bricked and doesn’t boot up anymore, restoring a Nandroid backup brings you back to the same state of the moment you created the backup. It’s a great safety net when you decide to flash a custom ROM or Kernel, for example. If anything goes wrong, just use your Nandroid backup to fix your device.

Want to know how to make a Nandroid Backup? Check out my guide!

Automate everything
tasker2

When it comes to automation, Tasker is the one and only app. With Tasker, you can automate just about anything. It also works on non-rooted devices, but with less automation options. It kind of follows the same logic as the online tool If This Then That (IFTTT) but in a much more sophisticated way. For example, you can toggle your WiFi every time you leave or enter your home or turning on Bluetooth and Google Maps when you connect your phone to a car dock. But I’m only scratching the surface here. Check out brandall’s awesome beginner’s guide at XDA Developers to learn more about Tasker.

Track your device even after someone makes a factory reset
android-tracking2

Losing your smartphone or tablet is a huge pain in the ass. More so, if someone stole it. There are ways to prevent your phone from being lost or stolen and to track it even without installed anti-theft app, but they are more or less detectable. That means, someone, who stole your device, can simply uninstall any tracking apps or do a factory reset.

With root access, however, you are able to flash (install) a tracking app, such as Cerberus, deep into your system. This way, Cerberus will even survive a factory reset. You can even flash a disguised version of the app so that it’s completely hidden in the app drawer.

Use modified versions of Android, called custom ROMs
custom-roms2

Custom ROMs are, as the name already implies, customized versions of the Android operating system. They offer unique features and improvements that you don’t get with the default Android OS. The most popular names in the custom ROM world are CyanogenMod, Paranoid Android and AOKP, to name just a few. If you want a better and more user-friendly Android experience, a better performance and battery life, then you should check all the different Custom ROMs and try out the one that suits you best.

Use Xposed Framework to customize your device
xposed2

Xposed is a framework for many available modules that allow you to customize your Android device’s performance and visual appearance. It’s kind of having many of the features that custom ROMs offer without having to flash one. So, if you don’t feel the need to install a custom ROM and only want a few additional features then installing Xposed modules might be the best option for you. Also, it’s super easy to install and set up. However, Xposed also works flawlessly with a custom ROM.

Increase performance and battery life
battery-saving2

With root access, you’re able to change your device’s CPU frequency. Overclocking your CPU will give you a better performing device while underclocking will be good for your battery. Check out the app SetCPU which is available for $1.99 (1,49€) on Google Play. It’s a great app with many features such as creating several CPU profiles which switch automatically based on user-defined conditions.

Say goodbye to ads
adaway2

Especially on a small screen, ads can be annoying sometimes. If certain apps take it too far with ad serving, then you can simply them by using ad blockers like AdAway. However, keep in mind that most app developers rely on the income from such ads. Without them, many great apps wouldn’t be free or even exist. So please support developers of apps you like to use and don’t just block all ads entirely.

Last words
So, you see, if done correctly, rooting an Android device isn’t risky and it has lots of benefits compared to non-rooted devices. Of course, the stock, or default Android experience is already great but having almost limitless options to customize and tweak the system, you can get a lot more out of your phone or tablet. The points I discussed above only cover a small part of what’s possible, but I hope you got a good idea of the potential of rooting your device.

update CyanogenMod ROM VIA CyanDelta

--- The usage of this tool is at your own risk ---

It's completely illegal, if you use it on your own only or at least don't harm anybody seriously.

Please don't use this application for criminal purposes. Use it only in your own Wifi network.  Don't harm  others.ONLY FOR EDUCATITONAL PURPOSE

Firstly, you will need to download CyanDelta from Google Play. You will also need to make sure you have root access (su), a custom recovery (app supports TWRP and CWM-based recovery) and the ZIP file your used to install the current CM version. You will now need to launch the app and click on the button that says ‘No zip selected’. The app needs to know what ROM version you are using in order for it to build the delta updates. You will now need to select your original ROM zip here. Once this is done, you have now completed the configuration ready for downloading the delta updates.

One useful feature of this app is that it can reboot to recovery, installing the ROM ZIP and other additional ZIPs i.e. kernel, modem etc) including wiping the Dalvik cache and reboot. Another useful feature I like (tested on my Nexus 5) is that it highlights the list of changes between the ROM you have installed and the one you are about to install.
The main function of the app is to periodically check for nightly updates, show you a notification when updates are available and download and install the small Delta file to update your CM device. Remember, always make a backup before updating!

Everyone who has an Android mobile wish to install latest Android Version or wants to remove some specific Stock apps. But rooting a Mobile is always risky. It is difficult to find the correct bootloader and Rooting Software. The developers at CyanogenMod Community has come up with a new app and Software by which we could simply load a custom CyanogenMod ROM.

Precautions:

Make Sure you have a Stable Internet connection.
Make sure you have more than 80% Battery.
It is recommended to have a Stock ROM ( Rooted or Un-Rooted. It doesn't matter which you has. Our App will take the action to Root it).
Have a working USB cable and USB port for avoiding disconnection during the procedure.

Steps:

We could divide the installation guide in to two parts.
1) Downloading and installingCyanogenModAndroid App.
2) Downloading and Installing CyanogenMod windows installer.

1) Downloading and installingCyanogenModAndroid App.

Open the Settings application and navigate to Security.
(on some devices, you may need to navigate to Applications)
Locate the Unknown sources option.

If Unknown sources is already checked, you can skip this step. If unchecked, tap the check box and then tap OK on the confirmation popup.

Download the OneClick.apk , install
2) Downloading and Installing CyanogenMod windows installer.

Download CyanogenMod windows installer from the link below.
Click here to download the app
Disable Anti Virus software if Exist any in the PC.
Take the backup of Mobile if you need any and Remember to Sync your contacts with Google Contacts for not Loosing the Contacts in future.
Start the installation by opening the downloaded files and wait until it asks to plug the mobile. Once the App in mobile tells you plug the mobile plug the mobile.
Once the mobile is detected, It asks the confirmation and on confirming it starts to Download the Stable version of Operating system from the CyanogenMod repositories.
After it Downloads the ROM, It asks for confirmation to Install and Press Install the Button to Start.
Lean back and Enjoy the Coffee when CyanogenMod app does it's work.

Uses of Xposed Framework For Android and how to install it...

Xposed framework is a groundbreaking development that lets you do just that. It’s easy to install and configure, and already has a plethora of modules available that bring functionality to your device that otherwise requires flashing a custom ROM or mod from recovery. Read on to learn more about this amazing framework, complete with installation and usage instructions.

Android is known for its extensive customization potential but unless you have a rooted device, you can only customize it using widgets and different home screen launcher apps. Rooting your device further expands the potential, giving you the ability to run apps that modify the core of the OS and do things not otherwise possible on it. Unlocking the bootloader and flashing a custom recovery takes you to a whole next level, allowing you to install custom mods and even full ROMs that can drastically change your user experience. However, with flashing custom mods or ROMs, you give up the stability, simplicity & reliability of pure vanilla Android. Wouldn’t it be great if only rooting would allow you to get the features that are otherwise available only via mods and custom ROMs

Before You Proceed

Disclaimer: Please follow this guide at your own risk. cybroze will not be liable if your device gets damaged or bricked during the process.
To be on the safe side, take a full backup from your recovery before proceeding. If you don’t have a custom recovery, still make sure to backup all the important stuff that you can.
Also, make sure you’re running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or later, or else Xposed will not work. Lastly, as we mentioned before, your device needs to be rooted for Xposed to work. You can find rooting instructions for several devices at our Android rooting guide. In case we’ve missed out on your device, you should be able to find rooting instructions at XDA or with a quick Google search.

Installing Xposed Framework

Download the latest Xposed framework installer app, and sideload the downloaded APK to your device in order to install it. Once installed, launch the Xposed Installer app from your app drawer.
Xposed Framework for Android 01 Xposed Framework for Android 02
Go to Framework, and tap the ‘Install/Update’ button. Don’t worry if the app seems stuck here; just give it time and it will eventually show you a Superuser request, which you should make sure to grant.
Xposed Framework for Android 03 Xposed Framework for Android 04
The framework will then install by itself, and prompt you when the installation process is finished. You will now need to reboot the device before you can start using the framework, so tap the ‘Reboot’ button. That should be it – when your device reboots, Xposed framework will be fully installed and you’ll be ready to install its modules to start customizing your device.
Now Xposed framework itself doesn’t bring any new functionality to your device that you can directly use; being a framework, it sets up the foundations for its modules, and it’s those modules that actually bring new features to your device. So, let’s take a look at how you can find and install Xposed modules, which is also just as easy as installing the framework itself.

5 Things To Do Before Installing a Custom ROM on your Android Device

Rooting and installing custom ROM offer many advantages indeed but, at the same time it can be a risky as it can cause serious problems to your phone and possibly even brick it.
People brick their phone because they don’t take precautions when installing a custom ROM on their device. If you understand things and go through it carefully, you’ll never be caught into an uncomfortable situation. Here are some important  be taken into consideration before rooting or installing any custom ROM.

  1. Backup your Apps, Contacts, etc.
The first thing that you should do before installing a custom ROM is to backup your applications, data, contacts, messages, etc. By backing up your phone, you won’t lose your important data when something happen during the procedure.
  2. Ensure decent battery level
It is very important to check the battery level before installing a custom ROM or rooting an android device. Because, if your device turned off in the middle of the procedure due to lack of battery, it can cause your phone to brick. So, it is very important to have battery sufficiently charged before you start rooting or installing any custom ROM.
  3. Turn on the USB Debugging mode
USB debugging mode is a mode to facilitate a connection between an Android device and a computer with Android SDK. Before an app like One-click-root can dig into your system and grant the access to your device, USB debugging is necessary to allow that function in the first place.
That’s is why, whenever you want to perform such task, it is highly recommended that you turn on the USB Debugging mode from ‘Developer Options’ under Settings of your device.
    enable usb debugging mode
On Android phones with Jelly Bean 4.2 and higher, the Developer Options are hidden by default and it can only be accessed by tapping 7 times on ‘Build Version’ from Settings ->About.
  4. Backup your current ROM
If you’ve rooted your phone, it is recommended that before installing a custom ROM on your phone, you must back up your current ROM, whether it is stock or custom ROM. So that if you experience some lag or any other situation you don’t like after flashing a custom ROM, you can restore the phone to its original state with this tool.
  5. Backup Your Phone’s IMEI
Sometimes, when you install a custom ROM, your IMEI number will be lost and as a result you will not be able to receive proper network signal. To avoid such situations, do not forget to backup a folder called ‘efs’ that stores your IMEI number.
To access the folder, you have to install a root file explorer app like Root Explorer, X-plore File Manager, etc. Once installed, open the app and find the folder. You will easily find it as it is located on the root directory of your device. When you located the folder, just copy the entire folder and paste it on your external SD card. It will be even better if you copy it to your computer too. After installing the custom ROM, just copy and paste the folder in the same location where it was.

How to update your Android firmware in all android device

Android it can take ages to start a roll-out and even then, there is no guarantee that your device will be seeing the update, or there may be issues with the update itself. There are generally two ways to update your device: over the air (OTA) or manual updates, which is a bit more complicated. We’ll show you how to do both across various devices.

How to do automatic updates

Usually software updates roll out to our devices automatically, which happens OTA. When this happens, you’ll notice a notification that will tell you that an update is ready to install to your device and all you have to do is click on it to begin the process. If, for whatever reason, the isn’t being pushed to your device or you accidentally cleared the notification, you can check manually for yourself if there is OTA update available by heading to About Device > System Updates > Check for Updates. This exact terminology will vary depending on what type of device you own, but it should be in the general same area.
How to manually update

There are various reasons that you’d want to manually update your device, but some of the most common ones are that you don’t have a stable mobile or WiFI network or you’ve rooted your device and aren’t receiving OTA updates anymore.

1. Locate a ROM

The first step to performing a manual update is locating a ROM that you want to install on your device. In case of an official ROM, we would check the appropriate website for each manufacturer and locate the proper ROM for our model of device. The firmware of the more popular manufacturers can be found here: Samsung (SamMobile), Sony (Xperia Firmware or Flashtool), LG (LG Phone Firmware), or Motorola (Motorola Firmware).

2. Installing the ROM

To install the ROM, you’ll have to locate the specific program suitable for your brand of smartphone or use a custom recovery, which requires your device to be unlocked and rooted.

KIES: This program is used to update Samsung branded devices, allowing us to download the ROM and install it to the mobile device from your PC. KIES itself downloads the firmware for your based on your device and location, so it a ROM has not been rolled out to your device or location, you won’t be able to install it using KIES.

Odin: Another program that allows you to install ROMs on your Samsung devices. The advantage here is that unlike KIES, you can install ROM you’ve downloaded yourself, such as from SamMobile.

Flash Tool: This tool is used to flash ROMs onto Sony Xperia devices. You’ll have to keep in mind that this will only work on Xperia devices that have their bootloader unlocked. Right now, it’s in beta stages but works across most Windows PCs.

HTC Sync Manager: As the name suggests, this program is used to install updates, among other things, on HTC devices. To get it, you can head over to the official HTC website and grab it. Once installed, you just have to connect your smartphone to your PC via USB and then fire up the program. It will search for software updates for you, but only official updates will be available to you.

HTC One Tool Kit: This program was developed by some folks over at the XDA Developers Forum and works for HTC devices. In this tool kit you can unlock your bootloader, root some devices, and of course, install official and custom ROMs on your HTC. You can grab the toolkit from the following link: HTC One Toolkit.
