Step 1: Open VLC media player and Click the media menu and then click convert/save option.

Step 2: After that, switch the tab called capture mode. and select the capture mode as Desktop, and choose frame rate which you want to record the screen.(Normal Quality is 5 to 15)

Step 3: Click Convert/Save button to open convert dialogue.

Step 4: In the convert dialog box, click browse button located in the destination section.(Choose a location and save)

NOTE: VLC is now starting screen recording. Anything on the screen will be recorded. It is interesting to note that VLC does use any signs on your screen while recording your screen.

Step 5: Finally, if you wish to stop recording, simply click Stop button on VLC Media Player to stop recording and save the file.
